Retraction: No 20100416 Build

A 20100416 build and its release notes are now available, however, this release is only available on the exif35 website and there are no bits available from SourceForge at this time. This build will not appear on SourceForge until the developer (me) manually places it there after SF brings their servers back to functional.

No 20100416 Build

There was a build scheduled for 20100416, but due to hosting outages at SourceForge, the release is being postponed at least one day. Because the build was scheduled, there is a release notes for this build.

Release Process

ExIf 35 is a continual development application at this time. Code is worked on throughout the day and then is committed back to a central repository after any major changes have been made, so therefore, it is possible to download fresh code at any time and compile it to have the latest changes, however, that procedure is not recommended. At the end of each active development day (where there are noteworthy changes) a build is created and published. Most days there will be an executable-only release. Occasionally there will be a release where there is an installer released as well, this is in the form of a Microsoft Installer (MSI) package that will itself execute and install the application. On days when a new build is released, but there is no installer, it is safe to drop a new executable into the folder where it was previously installed, there is no need to run the installer again.

Continual release will continue until there is a "gold" quality release build made available, the names for those builds will be in the form "ExIf35_0-1_FINAL.exe", otherwise builds are dated with the date of the day they are released.
